PT test motivation!

Well hello there my friends! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and new year!

Speaking of the new year, its the time where we all make a resolution or two to try to change for the year! I decided to make just some short goals and reach them, and make some more after.

My biggest goal, which is been for quite a while is to get fit. I am not in too bad of shape right now, but I want to be toned and of course, have a brazillian booty! :) I took time off during the holiday break due to no babysitter, but now that school is back in session, I have every intention of getting back at the gym on a daily basis.

Aside from getting tone, I am working on scoring 90% in all my events for the Army PT test...

Current scores as of my last PT test:
-34 pushups
-43 situps
-17:00 2 mile run

To get 90% I need:
-39 pushups
-73 situps
-16:36 2 mile run

To get 100% I need:
-46 pushups
-80 situps
-15:36

Situps are my weakness. I have been practicing situps and doing other core workouts to improve and work those muscles. I have a PT test tomorrow and will update on my results. I am feeling a big nervous as I took so much time off over the holiday break. But this time, I am refreshed and my muscles aren't fatigued like they were before my last PT test. So this month, I need to pass with 60% or better on each event with a goal of pushing myself to get 90%.

Wish me luck and I will report back as soon as I have time!

Have a lovely weekend!

D-baggy

So I hate when I have too much free time! Who says that? Well, I do, simply for the fact that I hate having all that time to think...think and think...and then over-think some more! I tend to have a high level of anxiety and jump to crazy conclusions like its going out of style. I read too much..or too little...in certain situations which is probably why I am big giant loser! I think my thought process is so different from others that when people do something that doesn't sit right with me, I get uber upset. And then I want to confront them, cuz how else will they know they are being total D-bags! Maybe I'm overly sensitive or just wayyy to precautious, either way, its getting me no where in my social life! What am I doing wrong? It's like that book "is everyone hanging out without me." How do I just go with the flow and be unlosery!? And being a loner these days probably doesn't help my issue! On the bright side, I totally love the fact that I no longer feel the need to fit into the 'cool' crowd. We just weren't meant to be, ha! I like weirdos and unique-ish people who aren't D-baggy! So I'm typing this on my phone and lost track of my intended purpose of this post, so I hope it was entertainment for those who do read this! Have a fab New year and do better! Peace! \/

back at it...

So I'm back at it....life may have possibly slowed down a bit...so I can hope, right? Just got home from a long holiday vacation! By just got home, I mean rolled in the driveway at 2am and it is now 5:53 and I am wide awake! Those 5 hr energy shots last wayyyyyyyy longer than 5 hrs! Especially when you don't drink caffeine! Blah! Anyways, since I last shared, so much has happened! Not sure where to begin...so I'm just going to focus on one thing. Myself. Perhaps it is selfish, but I am in the process of being the best "me" possible. How am I doing this you ask? I have slowly learned, researched, and executed possible strAtegies for such a goal. It has been one the hardest and most rewarding things I have attempted! It sounds silly I know, but it is challenging to "do better" when sometimes all you want to do is "get by." Do better-- 1. Smile. It not only boosts your mood instAntly, but It's also contagious. 2. Like what you see, if not, change it. 3. Go above and beyond, even for those who may not return the favor. 4. Be selfish once in a while, put your needs first. 5. Take a mental health day before you burn out. By simply doing better in some way or another, there is no doubt in my mind that you will feel a sense of accomplishment and happiness. --no one is youer than you.

Just a little snapshot of my favorite sister and I in Wichita Falls, TX! Such a pretty waterfall!

Since it's November already, I better take the time and be thankful for all the wonderful things in my life! (Not that I am not thanksful the other 11 months, November just happens to be the special month of Thanksgiving!)

I am thankful to have such an amazing little sister! She is truely my best friend and the best aunt Bri could ask for. Molly is dedicated to all that she does and caring of others. This girl is one of the smartest and driven girls I know. Love her!
